Hotel Receptionists – Multiple Positions

About the role

Luxora Hotels and Management Pty. Ltd. is seeking experienced, professional and customer-focused Hotel Receptionists to join its front-office team in Townsville. The successful applicants will provide attentive service to hotel guests throughout the reservation, arrival, stay and departure process.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests and complete check-in and check-out procedures.
• Confirm reservations and allocate rooms according to guest requirements.
• Process new bookings, cancellations and reservation amendments.
• Answer telephone, email and in-person enquiries.
• Provide information about hotel services, facilities and local attractions.
• Verify guest details, accounts and payment information.
• Process payments, deposits, refunds and accommodation charges.
• Issue room keys and explain hotel facilities and procedures.
• Respond to guest requests and coordinate assistance with other departments.
• Receive and resolve guest concerns and complaints professionally.

About you

• At least one or two year(s) of relevant hotel reception or front-office experience.
• Experience with hotel reservations, check-in and check-out procedures.
• Experience processing payments and maintaining guest accounts.
• Strong customer-service and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Good computer, data-entry and administrative skills.
• The ability to remain professional when managing complaints or busy periods.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a hotel team.
• Availability to work a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• A Certificate III or higher qualification in hospitality, tourism or a related field (desirable).
