Activity Assistant

About the role and where you will be working:

Located at the heart of town, our facility has been proudly providing care for the elderly since 1968. We’re dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where residents feel supported, engaged, and valued.

As an Activity Assistant, you’ll play a vital part in enriching the lives of our residents. Your day will involve:

• Supporting residents in a variety of activities, both within the facility and out in the community

• Organising and participating in games, outings, and social events that bring joy and connection

• Building meaningful relationships with residents while encouraging fun and engagement

This is a part time position working Monday to Friday 8am - 3pm.  

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to: 

• Carefully read & follow care plans
• Assist with personal care and meeting individual requirements 
• Work under the guidance of Shift Managers (Nursing & Facility)
• Building a strong relationship with residents and their families
• Show compassion & exercise patience

About you:

To be considered for this role, you’ll need:

• Prior experience as a activity assistant or equivalent.
• Initiative & the ability to effectively prioritise & multitask
• Great communication skills (spoken & written)
• Attention to detail will guide you to success in this role
