This role plays an important part in supporting project teams, maintaining compliance requirements, and ensuring the smooth operation of the business. 
 

About the Role: 
You'll be responsible for: 

• Performing on-site welding and fabrication works 
• Reading and interpreting shop drawings and engineering plans 
• Installing and modifying structural steel, handrails, balustrades, stairs and other metalwork 
• Carrying out MIG, TIG and Stick welding to a high standard 
• Operating fabrication equipment and power tools safely and efficiently 
• Conducting quality checks to ensure work meets project specifications 
• Maintaining a safe, organised and compliant work environment 
• Working collaboratively within a strong team environment 
• Assisting with general construction and site works as required

 
About You: 
To be successful, you'll ideally have: 

• Trade qualification in Engineering Fabrication, Boilermaking, Welding or similar 
• Proven experience in site welding and steel fabrication 
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings 
• Current White Card 
• Current driver's licence 
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety 
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

Highly Regarded: 

• Working at Heights certification 
• Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket 
• Forklift license 
• Structural steel installation experience 
• First Aid certification
