Kitchenhands, Experienced in Aged Care - Permanent

We are seeking Kitchen Hands with experience in aged care for permanent positions.

You will be working within reputable aged care facilities (nursing homes) across Adelaide, particularly in Grange and Elizabeth areas.

You will have a guaranteed income, working a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Must be familiar with:

• diet types

• diet textures

• fluid consistencies

• reading resident food and fluid care plans

• plating food efficiently in a neat and appealing manner.

What you'll do:

• Assist Chef/Cook in delivering high-quality catering services in line with policies and procedures

• Support residents with nutrition needs in line with individual care plans

• Assist with basic food preparation and cooking tasks as delegated

• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping

• Ensure safe handling, storage, and rotation of food supplies

• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas

• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards across kitchen and storage areas

• Communicate with care and nursing staff regarding dietary requirements

• Follow safe work practices and contribute to a safe working environment

• Identify and report hazards in line with WHS requirements

• Comply with Quality Management systems, policies, and procedures

• Maintain professionalism and effective communication within the team

• Uphold strict privacy and confidentiality standards at all times

• Perform duties in line with organisational, legal, and food safety regulations.
