About the role
Interested in passing on your fitting and machining expertise to those starting their career in the industry? We are offering 2 x 12-month temporary appointments, with the possibility of further term and/or permanency.
About You
We are seeking candidates with extensive industry experience and expertise in Fitting and Machining to plan, develop and deliver high-quality training and assessment in the Engineering Trades area.
The successful candidate will bring current, hands-on knowledge of mechanical fitting, machining processes, precision measurement, workshop equipment, maintenance practices, and the safe use of engineering tools and machinery. You will be passionate about sharing your industry expertise and developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople.
The lecturer's role involves delivering and assessing training, mentoring students, supporting practical skill development, and fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. You will also maintain contemporary industry knowledge through ongoing professional development and strong connections with industry, ensuring training remains relevant, current and aligned to workforce needs.
