Formwork Supervisor

About the role

As Formwork Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing formwork operations on site, coordinating trades and labour, and ensuring works are completed in accordance with project requirements, drawings and schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating formwork crews on site

• Planning daily works and allocating labour effectively

• Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications

• Setting out and checking formwork prior to concrete pours

• Coordinating with Site Managers, Project Managers, engineers and other trades

• Ensuring formwork is constructed safely, accurately and to specification

• Managing productivity, quality and project deadlines

• Conducting pre-pour inspections and ensuring all works are ready for concrete placement

• Monitoring materials, equipment and labour requirements

• Maintaining high standards of WHS and site housekeeping

About you

• Proven experience as a Formwork Supervisor, Leading Hand or Senior Carpenter

• Strong commercial construction and formwork experience

• Excellent knowledge of formwork systems and concrete construction

• The ability to read and understand structural and architectural drawings

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines

• A strong commitment to safety and quality

• Relevant Australian construction experience

• White Card and relevant trade qualifications are essential
