About the Company

Our client is a respected Tier 1 mechanical services contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial HVAC solutions throughout New South Wales.

Specialising in the installation, servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of commercial air conditioning and mechanical systems, they work across commercial offices, hospitals, universities, retail centres, industrial facilities, data centres, and government buildings.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join their expanding service team.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Carrying out preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC systems

• Diagnosing faults and completing reactive breakdown repairs

• Servicing a wide range of commercial air conditioning and mechanical equipment

• Commissioning new HVAC systems where required

• Completing detailed service reports and compliance documentation

• Identifying repair opportunities and recommending system improvements

• Maintaining excellent client relationships through professional service delivery

• Participating in the on-call roster as required

• Ensuring all work complies with WHS legislation and Australian Standards

• Maintaining company vehicles, tools, and equipment to a high standard

Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Trade qualification in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration

• Current ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence

• Restricted or Unrestricted Electrical Licence (preferred depending on state requirements)

• Proven experience servicing commercial HVAC systems

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Experience working with:

  • Chillers

  • Package units

  • VRV/VRF systems

  • Split and ducted systems

  • AHUs and FCUs

  • Mechanical ventilation systems

  • Cooling towers

  • Building Management Systems (BMS)

• Ability to work independently and manage your daily schedule

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Current Australian Driver's Licence

• White Card (desirable)

Desirable Experience

• Experience working across hospitals, data centres, universities, commercial offices, retail centres, and industrial facilities

• Experience with commissioning and controls

• Manufacturer training with Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Temperzone, Carrier, Trane, York, or Johnson Controls

• Experience using mobile field service software

• Strong understanding of preventative maintenance contracts
