Casual Receptionist for growing Physiotherapy Practice

Melton Physio is a growing practice located in Melton. We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic person with a caring manner to join our friendly team on a casual basis in our busy reception.

The receptionist will assist in the day-to-day operations of the practice and be the first point of contact for patients entrusting us with their care. The role includes:

• Greeting patients, telephone communication with patients, medical professionals and insurers; diary management, billing and processing of payments; management of waiting room and general office duties, including cleaning

• Administrative duties include scanning, managing communications, data input, filing

Key Selection Criteria

• Previous experience in an administration/receptionist role is a must

• Previous experience working in a physiotherapy, medical or allied health area in a similar role is preferred, but not essential

• Excellent phone manner, customer service and communication skills 

• Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously

• Strong computer skills are essential with experience in Microsoft Office, including ability to touch type and use telephone systems

• Experience with practice management software would be an advantage

• Billing and processing payments using EFTPOS, HICAPS and payment software

• Ability to maintain patient and staff confidentiality at all times

• Must be highly motivated, have ability to multi-task, prioritise and problem solve

• Excellent time management and organisations skills with attention to detail is required

• Good personal presentation, reliable and punctual

• Ability to liaise with all key stakeholders including patients, staff, management, medical professionals and suppliers

• Flexibility to meet the operating hours of the practice and work across various shifts

The role requires availability on a casual basis Mon-Sat, days and evenings. Times and duration can vary across the week depending on the practice requirements. The successful applicant needs to be willing and able to work extra hours upon request.
