Trainee/Qualified Dental Assistant / Receptionist

About the Role

As a Dental Assistant / Receptionist , you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our clinic while delivering exceptional patient care and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Dental Assisting Duties

• Chairside assistance to dentists during a range of dental procedures

• Preparing and sterilizing instruments and treatment rooms

• Maintaining infection control standards and clinical protocols

• Assisting with patient care and comfort before, during, and after treatment

• Managing clinical stock and supplies

• Taking and processing dental radiographs (where qualified)

Reception Duties

• Greeting patients and providing exceptional customer service

• Answering phone calls and managing appointment bookings

• Patient recalls and follow-up communications

• Processing payments and handling accounts

• Managing patient records and maintaining confidentiality

• Liaising with patients regarding treatment plans and appointments

• General administrative and reception duties

• Be willing to travel and work at our sister clinics in Bendigo and Castlemaine when required

Previous dental assisting or dental reception experience is preferred; however, applicants with strong customer service experience and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
