• Ongoing Part Time - 2 days per week, Tuesday and Wednesday, with possible additional hours as may be required
• Salary:  $78,972 pa (pro-rata) + super
• Location: Ringwood and vaccination venues in Maroondah

Maroondah City Council is seeking a dedicated, organised and skilled applicant to join our Community Health team.

The Administration Officer (Immunisation) reports to the Team Leader Immunisation and is responsible for providing administrative assistance and customer service support to the Immunisation Team.  This position is also responsible for planning and delivering Council’s Secondary School Immunisation Program.

Key responsibilities include:

• Plan and deliver Council’s Secondary School Immunisation Program each year, including effective collaboration with schools and nurses.
• Improve the response rate for school immunisation consent, through the implementation of an effective consent response reminder and follow up process.
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of Councils Immunisation service including public immunisation sessions, workplace immunisation program and opportunistic immunisation sessions and undertake assigned roles and responsibilities for the Immunisation service.
• Provide high quality administrative assistance and customer service support to the Community Health and Immunisation service as required, including general administrative tasks and provide a high level of customer service.
• Manage and maintain accurate immunisation records, consent information, data entry and reporting using relevant online systems and immunisation databases.

Maroondah’s immunisation service prides itself on being accessible and providing excellent service to support the health of our community. We offer public, school, workplace and occasional opportunistic immunisation services that are convenient to clients. There may be a requirement to work outside normal business hours including some monthly evening sessions.

The successful candidate will have:

• Minimum Year 12 education and / or its equivalent in a relevant field and/or several years’ experience in a similar role to this position.
• Demonstrated excellent administrative and organisational skills with a commitment to a high level of customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver a program, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders and ability to carry out required duties independently, including a commitment to effective time management.
• Demonstrated ability to work professionally and collaboratively with a team, contributing to a positive team environment and supporting the achievement of team and organisational objectives.
• Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office Applications. (Familiarity using the Australian Immunisation Register and Immunisation databases would be an advantage).
• Experience in Local Government and functioning of an immunisation services would be desirable.
