About the role

The Ozanam House Case Management team supports homeless and marginalised single adults in a crisis accommodation environment. The program focuses on helping clients secure and sustain affordable housing by addressing unmet needs through a holistic case management approach.

The Key Worker operates within a multidisciplinary team to support clients through crisis, recovery and stability. This includes developing person-centred, goal-oriented case plans, linking clients to mainstream and specialist services and addressing complex needs such as mental health, AOD, disability, justice involvement and family violence. The role involves managing competing demands in a high-pressure environment and undertaking complex operational and coordination tasks with minimal supervision.

Key Selection Criteria

• Minimum tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline with 1–2 years’ experience (desirable).
• Demonstrated understanding of professional client interaction, boundaries, and case recording principles, ensuring accountability and responsibility.
• Knowledge of issues affecting clients, including homelessness, financial hardship, family violence, mental health, substance use, and disability.
• Proven ability to provide holistic support for clients with complex needs, including managing case plans, resources, and budgets.
• Demonstrated commitment to social justice, human rights, and cultural safety, with the ability to manage conflict and challenging behaviours.
• Note: Candidates with lesser formal qualifications but substantial relevant experience may be considered, except where mandatory credentialed standards apply.
• Valid Victorian Driver’s Licence required.
