Estimator

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Estimator with a strong understanding of civil construction and excavation works to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates, quantity take-offs and tender packages, while working closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator looking to join an established contractor with a strong project pipeline and a long-standing reputation within the Victorian construction industry.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing accurate and competitive estimates, quantity take-offs and tender packages

• Working closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams

About you

• Demonstrated experience in estimating within the civil construction, excavation or related industries

• Strong knowledge of civil, earthworks and excavation methodologies

• Experience preparing quantity take-offs, cost estimates and tender submissions

• A methodical and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently liaise with clients, subcontractors and suppliers

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Microsoft Project

• Confidence in contract administration and pre-construction activities

• Experience using civil/earthworks estimating or take-off software is desirable; training will be provided where required

• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills

• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
