Devonport Eyecare is nestled on the northwest coast of Tasmania and offers breathtaking scenery and a close-knit community. Our practice has been delivering exceptional eyecare to Devonport and beyond for over 40 years. Devonport Eyecare has the feel of an independently run practice, with the added support of a larger organization, enabling the team to capitalize on the unique practice environment.

We are searching for an Casual Dispenser to grow our team.

About the role

• Provide friendly and efficient reception service
• Assist patients in the selection of optical frames taking into account lifestyle and physical needs
• Recommend use of ancillary products (e.g. contact lens care products).
• Support other team members in the achievement of practice goals and objectives including (but not limited to) processing Medicare, health fund payments, credits / warranties, entering stock, jobs due report, debtor’s management and stock takes
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the practice including overall presentation and cleanliness

About you

• Effective communication and customer service skills both in person and over the phone
• Team focused alongside independent work
• Strong organizational skills and ability to problem solve
• Positive and energetic attitude
• Experience in the optical industry is preferred, however for those eager to take on a new career we are willing to develop
• Available to work 8hrs/week
