Product Manager

Karmo is evolving how people access private transportation. We’ve moved past the “new-age novelty” phase and are now building the sophisticated, multi-user platforms that define car subscription in Australia. We are looking for a Product Manager who doesn’t just “ship and forget,” but someone who views their product as a living system that requires constant tuning and curiosity. This role owns the products and platforms Karmo runs on from the inside, the systems the wider business relies on every day. In this role you build for the people beside you: the operators, fellow PMs, Heads and Directors whose teams live in your product, lifting how the whole business serves its end customers. You win through influence, not distance, and the bar for how you carry yourself with senior stakeholders is higher. 🚀 What You’ll Be Doing

• Own the Full Lifecycle: Lead products from initial discovery and validation through to build, release, and ongoing optimisation in production.
• Lead Discovery & Truth-Seeking: Conduct discovery sessions and user research, poking holes in assumptions to translate ideas into a roadmap with clear definitions of success.
• Deliver Mechanical Excellence: Write high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring the engineering team understands the “Why” behind every line of code.
• Drive Cross-Functional Influence: Work directly with other PMs, Heads, Directors, and Executives to align your product strategy with the wider business vision.
• Ensure Operational Integration: Collaborate with operational teams to solve friction points, coordinate go-to-market activities, and manage change for new launches.
• Engage in Collaborative Sparring: Participate in high-bandwidth ideation sessions, running ideas through rigorous feedback loops to find the best version of the truth.
• Embrace Resource Agility & Team-First Pivots: Manage your backlog with a ruthless eye for value vs. effort, ready to jump into critical company-wide initiatives even if they fall outside your usual territory.

🎯 What You’ll Bring

• 3 to 4 Years of PM Experience: A solid background in Product Management. This is a hands-on role requiring the maturity to operate credibly alongside Heads, Directors, and fellow PMs from day one.
• Stakeholder Maturity: The ability to build genuine alignment, hold a well-reasoned ‘not yet’ while keeping trust intact, and navigate competing priorities with composure.
• Systems and Platform Instinct: A deep understanding of how business, data, systems, and platforms interact, especially within “blended” contexts where commercial, operational, and technical realities collide.
• Impeccable Product Craft: Demonstrated experience breaking a problem down into PRDs, epics, and well-scoped stories that a squad can pick up without a translation layer.
• Holistic Product Judgement & Taste: A visceral reaction to clunky experiences, paired with the ability to turn separate inputs from domain experts into cohesive, effortless product decisions.
• Cultural Excellence: A low-ego, high-ownership mindset that thrives on collaborative debate and treats “product health” as a team sport.
