Our mission is to provide practical, efficient and innovative engineering solutions that stand the test of time.The RoleAn exciting opportunity has become available for a Stormwater Engineer to join our growing team in Sydney.You will be responsible for preparing stormwater management designs and supporting documentation for residential and commercial developments, while working closely with our structural and civil engineering teams.The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects, and committed to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare stormwater drainage designs for residential, commercial and industrial developments.Design On-Site Detention (OSD), rainwater harvesting and stormwater management systems.Prepare Stormwater Management Reports (SMR) and supporting engineering documentation.Liaise with councils, architects, builders, certifiers and other consultants.Assist with Development Application (DA) and Construction Certificate (CC) submissions.Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards, council requirements and relevant engineering guidelines.Coordinate with structural and civil engineers throughout project delivery.Assist with project planning and delivery within required timeframes.Key RequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.Experience in stormwater engineering and drainage design.Proficient in AutoCAD.Experience with Drains, MUSIC, DRAINS, HEC-RAS or other stormwater modelling software is highly regarded.Good understanding of Australian Standards, Australian Rainfall & Runoff (ARR), and local council stormwater requirements.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and organisational skills.Ability to work both independently and within a team.Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Need minimum 1.5 years working experienceCurrent Australian Driver Licence is preferred.Visa status: Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident (PR), or full working rights in Australia.What We OfferCompetitive salary based on experience.Professional development and ongoing training.Opportunity to work on a diverse range of engineering projects.Supportive and collaborative team environment.Career progression within a growing engineering consultancy.Salary packaging. $65000/year+SuperLocationSydney (Dural)Job TypesFull-time Work LocationIn personHow to ApplyIf you are interested in joining our team, please send your resume to:account@zhengengineers.comApplications will be reviewed as they are received.Application deadline:16/08/2026
