Position: Anaesthetic Registered or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Anaesthetic Registered or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to join our perioperative team.

The successful applicant will provide safe, high-quality patient care throughout the anaesthetic phase of surgical procedures and work collaboratively with anaesthetists, surgeons, theatre staff and the wider multidisciplinary team.

·       Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients undergoing anaesthesia.

·       Assist the anaesthetist with induction, maintenance, and emergence from anaesthesia.

·       Prepare and check anaesthetic equipment, medications, and airway equipment.

·       Ensure that all equipment is functional, available, and appropriately prepared prior to procedures.

·       Monitor patients closely and promptly identify and respond to changes in their clinical condition.

·       Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

·       Comply with infection prevention and control requirements and relevant clinical policies.

·       Maintain high standards of patient safety, privacy, and dignity.

·       Participate effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary perioperative team.

·       Contribute to a positive, professional, and supportive theatre environment.

·       Current AHPRA registration as an RN or EEN.

·       Previous experience in anaesthetic nursing and/or perioperative nursing.

·       Sound knowledge of anaesthetic equipment, medications, and patient monitoring.

·       Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

·       Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

·       Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality improvement.

·       Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

·       Working rights in Australia with no restrictions

·       Postgraduate qualification in perioperative nursing or related specialty.

·       Relevant anaesthetic nursing experience in a hospital or day surgery setting.

·       Current experience with a range of surgical specialties.

You will be a professional and compassionate Registered Nurse with strong clinical skills, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care. You will demonstrate sound clinical judgement and work confidently and collaboratively within a busy, perioperative environment.
