Clinical Midwifery Educator- Permanent Part‑Time role

Calvary Riverina Hospital provides a range of services to the Riverina community. This includes our Surgicentre, Drug and Alcohol Centre as well as our maternity and women's health services.

• Deliver high‑quality clinical education, coaching, and competency assessment to support safe, contemporary midwifery practice.
• Lead education and ongoing development for student midwives, new graduate midwives and the clinical midwifery team, tailored to a regional maternity service.
• Collaborate with midwifery and medical teams to strengthen capability, support quality improvement, and embed evidence‑based care.
• Provide hands‑on clinical support in the birthing, postnatal, and antenatal settings to enhance staff confidence and patient experience.

• Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and Midwifery
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
• Relevant post graduate qualifications in education is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated the ability to effectively teach and preceptor nursing staff.
• Minimum of 3 years’ post graduate clinical experience in nursing/midwifery.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership qualities.
