About the role
Enshaw Electrical Services is a locally Family owned and operated electrical contractor delivering Electrical Solutions across the NSW coal industry. Due to continued growth, we are looking for two motivated people to join our team.
We are looking for people who want a stable, long-term position with a company that values quality work, teamwork and reliability.
Day Shift Only | 9-Day Fortnight
This role is suited to an experienced industrial electrician looking for work-life balance while remaining hands-on in a modern Coal Handling & Preparation Plant.
Carry out preventative and breakdown electrical maintenance across CHPP fixed plant.
Fault-find and repair electrical equipment, control circuits and plant systems.
Maintain motors, VSDs, motor control centres (MCCs), switchboards and associated electrical equipment.
Diagnose faults on conveyors, pumps, crushers, screens and other coal handling and processing equipment.
Fault-find PLC-controlled plant, instrumentation, sensors and field devices.
Complete electrical inspections, testing, isolations and commissioning activities.
Assist with planned shutdowns, maintenance projects and plant upgrades.
Identify recurring faults and contribute to improvements in plant reliability and availability.
Complete maintenance records and required site documentation.
Work closely with operators and other trades to diagnose plant issues and minimise downtime.
Maintain a high standard of electrical safety and comply with site procedures and isolation requirements.
Day shift only 12-hour shifts.
9-day fortnight.
Company service vehicle.
Long-term, stable employment with access to training and upskilling.
Camp accommodation and meals available if required.
Rotating Shift Work
This role is suited to an electrician who wants to develop a broader understanding of CHPP operations while remaining involved in electrical maintenance. You’ll work across the day-to-day operation of the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant, gaining hands-on experience with the plant, processing systems and associated mobile equipment.
Safely operate and monitor the CHPP to maintain efficient and reliable production.
Monitor plant performance, alarms, process conditions and equipment operation.
Operate coal dozers and other mobile plant as required.
Carry out plant inspections and identify faults, defects and potential reliability issues.
Respond to plant breakdowns and assist with fault finding to minimise downtime.
Carry out electrical maintenance and repairs within the requirements of your electrical licence.
Assist with isolations, testing and safe return of equipment to service.
Work with conveyors, pumps, crushers, screens and other coal handling and processing equipment.
Assist with planned maintenance, shutdowns and plant improvement activities.
Communicate plant conditions, faults and maintenance requirements between operations and maintenance teams.
Complete operational checks, maintenance records and required site documentation.
Maintain a strong focus on safety, plant reliability and production requirements.
Rotating roster DAYS / NIGHTS / DAYS OFF !.
Company service vehicle.

Ideally you'll have:
CHPP, Mining experience or industrial Experience. (preferred but not essential depending on experience)
A current Electrical Licence.
A current Australian Driver’s Licence.
A strong work ethic and commitment to their role.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
A safety-focused attitude and willingness to follow site procedures.
The ability to work independently and take responsibility for their work.
A professional and reliable approach to work.
The ability to successfully complete pre-employment order 45 coal board medical and drug & alcohol screening.
Permanent, unrestricted working rights in Australia are required.
We are ideally looking for applicants based in the Gunnedah, Narrabri, Tamworth and surrounding areas, as well as those who are willing to relocate or travel to the area for work.
Please note, these positions are not FIFO or DIDO roles. Applicants will need to be based locally or make their own suitable arrangements to travel to and from the Gunnedah area for their rostered work.
