GAMING SUPERVISOR – FULL-TIME OR CASUAL

Craigieburn Sporting Club is seeking a friendly, self-motivated and experienced Gaming Supervisor to lead our gaming team and help deliver an outstanding experience for our members and guests.

This is primarily a full-time position; however, casual opportunities are also available for suitable candidates.

ABOUT CRAIGIEBURN SPORTING CLUB

Craigieburn Sporting Club is a busy, community-focused venue offering a bistro, members bar, functions, entertainment and an 18-hole golf course. We are proud to support local sporting clubs, charitable organisations and community initiatives.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the venue management team, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the gaming room. You will lead by example, support and train team members, maintain a welcoming environment and ensure all gaming operations comply with VGCCC requirements and Club policies.

Applicants must be available to work a rotating roster that includes weekdays, weekends, evenings, late nights and public holidays.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise the day-to-day operation of the gaming room

• Lead, support and motivate gaming team members during each shift

• Deliver friendly, professional and attentive service to members and guests

• Ensure compliance with VGCCC regulations, responsible gaming requirements and the Club’s Responsible Gambling Code of Conduct

• Promote responsible gaming practices and respond appropriately to signs of gambling harm

• Support the Club’s self-exclusion procedures and maintain confidentiality

• Complete gaming payouts, cash handling, floats and reconciliations accurately and securely

• Monitor the gaming floor and respond promptly to machine, customer or operational issues

• Complete shift reports, incident reports and other required records

• Assist with staff induction, training and ongoing performance development

• Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, safety and security

• Work collaboratively with management and other departments to support smooth venue operations

• Respond professionally to customer enquiries, feedback and complaints

ABOUT YOU

You will be a confident and approachable supervisor who enjoys working with people and leading a team in a busy hospitality environment.

To be successful, you will have:

• Previous gaming, hospitality or venue supervisory experience

• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol certification

• Current Responsible Service of Gaming training

• Current Victorian Gaming Industry Employee license

• Sound knowledge of current VGCCC regulations and responsible gaming requirements

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Experience with gaming operations, cash handling and balancing

• The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a busy environment

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to compliance

• Flexible availability across days, evenings, late nights, weekends and public holidays

• Professional presentation and a positive, hands-on attitude
