About the role
The operations manager is responsible for overseeing the operational and franchising functions of a tobacco franchisor. The role ensures operational efficiency, franchise compliance, network performance, profitability, and consistent brand standards across all company and franchise locations.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the CGW franchise network and ensure compliance with franchise agreements, operational standards, and brand requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with franchisees and provide ongoing operational support.
Monitor franchise performance and implement initiatives to improve sales, profitability, and operational excellence.
Coordinate franchise onboarding, store openings, training, and network development.
Manage day-to-day business operations, systems, and processes.
Monitor budgets, sales, labour costs, inventory, and overall business performance.
Lead, coach, and develop operational staff and management teams.
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, employment, retail, and other applicable legislation.
Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations to senior management.
Lead operational improvement and business growth initiatives.
Experience in operations management and franchising.
Strong leadership, commercial, financial, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
Reports to the Chief Executive Officer / Managing Director and oversees franchise and operational support functions.
