C2C Mine Maintenance is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee all operations of the business.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will ensure our people, resources and operational functions work together effectively. Your focus will include leadership, planning, communication, safety, compliance, customer service and the consistent delivery of high-quality work.

You will provide direction to the people responsible for each operational area, maintain visibility across current and upcoming workloads, address operational issues and ensure the business has the resources and systems required to meet its commitments.

ABOUT C2C MINE MAINTENANCE:

Based in Mackay, C2C Mine Maintenance is a multi discipline service business providing mechanical repairs and servicing, auto-electrical solutions, breakdown support and field service.

Our customers operate across the mining, ports, rail, transport and construction industries.

THE ROLL:

As Operations Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the business, including our Workshop, Field Service and Compliance divisions.

You will work closely with the departments leads to establish priorities, coordinate resources and maintain clear accountability.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing daily operations across the business
• Providing direction and support to the people responsible for each operational area
• Coordinating labour, resources and upcoming workloads
• Ensuring schedules reflect customer priorities and available resources
• Maintaining visibility across current jobs, upcoming work and operational requirements
• Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on time and within the agreed scope
• Overseeing the accuracy and timely completion of timesheets, job cards and service records
• Ensuring safety and environmental requirements are consistently applied
• Overseeing compliance documentation, systems and operational records
• Leading operational, scheduling and work-in-progress meetings
• Improving communication and coordination between the Workshop, Field Service and Compliance divisions
• Coaching and supporting supervisors, technicians, apprentices, field personnel and administration staff
• Supporting recruitment, employee development and performance reviews
• Addressing workplace performance or behavioural issues fairly and professionally
• Maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring concerns are resolved promptly
• Overseeing parts and inventory practices to reduce waste, loss and delays
• Identifying operational issues and leading practical, lasting improvements
• Keeping the General Manager informed of operational risks, resource requirements and emerging issues

ABOUT YOU:

You are an experienced operations leader who can bring people together, manage competing priorities and maintain clear oversight across the business.

You communicate confidently with directors, customers, supervisors, tradespeople, apprentices and administration staff, adapting your approach to suit the situation. You remain calm under pressure, make sound decisions and are comfortable having direct and constructive conversations when required.

You will bring:

• Experience leading operations within a maintenance, automotive, heavy industry or service based business
• Strong mechanical aptitude and credibility in a trade based environment
• The ability to coordinate people, resources and workloads across multiple divisions
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
• A practical and inquisitive approach, with the ability to identify and address the cause of operational issues
• Confidence holding people accountable while providing clear support and direction
• Sound business administration and commercial awareness
• Experience with safety, compliance and operational systems
• A relevant trade qualification and current Australian manual driver’s licence
• A professional, positive and adaptable leadership style
