Mechanical Fitters - Afternoon Shift - Beenleigh area

Job Connect is currently seeking both a Mechanical Fitter  to join the maintenance team of a well-established national company based in the Beenleigh / Yatala area.

These are long-term opportunities working Monday to Friday on afternoon shift, with regular overtime available and genuine career progression for the right people.

• $60.00 per hour (Monday to Friday)

About the role

Working within a large industrial maintenance team, you'll perform preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and upgrades on heavy fixed plant equipment including:

• Crushers
• Conveyor systems
• Screening equipment
• Associated fixed plant machinery

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same and you'll be working alongside experienced tradespeople in a well-supported environment.

Mechanical Fitters

As a Mechanical Fitter your responsibilities will include:

• Preventative maintenance
• Fault finding and breakdown repairs
• Replacing bearings, rollers, shafts and mechanical components
• Conveyor maintenance
• Fixed plant servicing and repairs
• Basic stick welding as part of maintenance repairs

To be successful you will have:

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
• Current Driver Licence
• Working at Heights and Confined Space (or willingness to obtain within your first week)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical

Experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, mining, quarries, recycling, cement, concrete or fixed plant maintenance will be highly regarded, however candidates from other industrial maintenance backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
