Senior Project Engineer

Vinova are working with a leading infrastructure business that can offer an Electrical Engineer genuine ownership of technically challenging HV projects without locking you into a purely design-based position.

You will gain exposure across 11kV and 33kV networks, working on live operational assets and seeing projects through from technical review to implementation. You will work alongside experienced engineers and delivery specialists while building broader expertise across HV networks, protection and electrical infrastructure.

About the role

You will work across a portfolio of major precinct assets, with a current focus on a complex 11kV-33kV network.

Working closely with internal delivery teams, contractors and technical stakeholders, you will act as a key technical resource for electrical projects. You will review designs and contractor submissions, provide technical advice and ensure proposed solutions are safe, compliant and fit for purpose.

Projects will include customer HV connections, feeder replacements, protection systems, switchgear upgrades and broader electrical infrastructure works.

Duties

• Review and verify HV electrical designs, technical documents and contractor submissions
• Provide technical advice across 11kV-33kV network upgrades and customer connections
• Assess protection, feeder and switchgear solutions to confirm they are fit for purpose
• Support project teams through design, technical review and delivery

Skills & experience

• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent relevant qualification
• HV network design or design-review experience across 11kV-33kV infrastructure
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, protection and HV equipment
• Exposure to cable sizing, fault-current calculations, specifications or LV switchboards would be beneficial
• Background across utilities, infrastructure, industrial, mining or other HV environments
