What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care (qualified applications only), meal preparation, and household tasks and transportation - appointments and shopping

• Certificate III qualification is required for personal care duties

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent is preferred but not essential for all applicants

• Providing emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging them in social and recreational activities

• Monitoring clients' health and wellbeing, reporting any changes or concerns to the relevant parties

• Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures to ensure the highest standards of service delivery.

• Collaborating with the broader care team to coordinate and deliver integrated support

What we're looking for

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients

• A dependable and responsible attitude towards fulfilling your duties.

• A caring, empathetic and patient approach when working with vulnerable clients

• Flexibility to work a part-time schedule, including weekends and public holidays as required

• Minimum availability of 10-15 hours per week is expected

• A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle to travel between client homes

• A commitment to upholding the values and principles of the aged and disability care sectors

• Police check is required for this role

• Minimum of 3-6 months experience in a support worker or similar role is required
