Shape Better Mental Health Outcomes for Young People
Lead with expertise and make a meaningful difference to children and young people across Logan and Redland Hospitals. Join the CYMHS Paediatric Consultation Liaison Team as a Clinical Nurse Consultant and provide advanced clinical leadership, specialist mental health expertise and support to patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
About This Role
Your new role:
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant within the CYMHS Paediatric Consultation Liaison Team, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and specialist expertise in child and youth mental health. Working across Logan and Redland Hospitals, you will support the delivery of safe, evidence-based and person-centred care to children and young people admitted to medical and paediatric wards.
You will play a key role in strengthening clinical practice, supporting the multidisciplinary team and driving education, research, quality improvement and service development.
Provide expert clinical assessment, consultation and advice in child and youth mental health.Deliver advanced nursing practice and person-centred care across the care continuum.Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, coaching and supervision to nursing and multidisciplinary staff.Support the development and implementation of evidence-based clinical practices, guidelines and quality initiatives.
About You
You are an experienced mental health nurse and confident clinical leader who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people. You bring advanced clinical knowledge, sound judgement and the ability to influence and support others in a complex multidisciplinary environment.
Demonstrated specialist knowledge and experience in child and youth mental health.Advanced clinical assessment, critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to provide clinical supervision, education, mentoring and professional support.Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2016 and its application to contemporary mental health practice.
