Disability Support Worker

Position Overview

The Disability Support Worker will provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals living with disability. The role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, community participation, and personal development in accordance with their individual support plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support that promotes dignity, choice, and independence.
• Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks as required.
• Support clients to participate in community, social, and recreational activities.
• Provide transport assistance to appointments and community engagements.
• Maintain accurate and timely progress notes and documentation in line with organisational policies.

Selection Criteria

• Demonstrated experience in providing support to people with disability.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
• Commitment to professional conduct, confidentiality, and respect for individual rights.

Mandatory Requirements

• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates.
• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification (desirable).
• Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.

Pay: $40.00 – $60.00 per hour
