Concrete Agitator Driver

About the role

Nicks Readymix is seeking a Concrete Agitator Driver to join our team on a casual basis. Based in Gympie, QLD 4570, this role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of ready-mixed concrete to construction sites across the region. As a Concrete Agitator Driver, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining concrete agitator trucks, delivering quality products to our customers whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Operate concrete agitator trucks safely and efficiently to transport ready-mixed concrete to designated construction sites

• Conduct pre-operation and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and agitator are in proper working condition

• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and records as per company requirements

• Follow safe driving practices and comply with all relevant traffic laws, road safety regulations and company safety policies

• Communicate effectively with customers, site managers and dispatch personnel to coordinate delivery times and locations

• Load concrete at the batching plant and unload at job sites, following proper procedures and assisting with site setup as required

• Report any vehicle defects, maintenance issues or safety concerns to management immediately

• Adhere to environmental regulations and dispose of waste materials responsibly

What we're looking for

• Current heavy rigid licence (HR) or higher licence classification

• Proven experience operating concrete agitator trucks or similar heavy vehicle equipment

• Demonstrated commitment to health and safety compliance on job sites and whilst driving

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers and team members

• Reliability and being punctual is required

• Physical fitness and capability to perform manual tasks associated with loading and unloading concrete

• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for vehicle safety

• Must pass a medical Test
