Lead Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Student Achievement
The Cathedral School is seeking an exceptional educational leader to join our Senior School as Director of Teaching and Learning – Senior School. This pivotal leadership position is responsible for shaping curriculum excellence, driving pedagogical improvement, enhancing student outcomes, and ensuring the highest standards of academic integrity and compliance across Years 10–12. A teaching load is associated with the role.
Working closely with the Principal, Deputy Principal – Teaching, Learning and Innovation, Deputy Principal – Head of Senior School, and Heads of Department, you will play a key role in leading curriculum innovation, supporting teacher growth, overseeing QCAA processes, and building a culture of continuous improvement that prepares students for success beyond school.

The Cathedral School is a leading Anglican co-educational day and boarding school in Townsville, educating approximately 1,200 students from Early Childhood to Year 12, including 170 boarding students. About the Role
As the primary curriculum leader for Years 10–12, you will provide strategic leadership across curriculum, assessment, pedagogy, data analysis, teacher development, and student pathways. You will also serve as the School's Principal's Delegate for QCAA, ensuring compliance and excellence in all aspects of senior schooling.
