About the role
QDN is a human right based, membership representative body of over 3000 people with a disability and their supporters. QDN’s work is centred around a strong state-wide network of people with disability across Queensland, to inform, connect, lead, and influence change to deliver an inclusive Queensland community.
The Engagements Lead – Peer Support reports directly to the General Manager. This position works as part of a team where interdependencies and collaboration with colleagues, QDN members and internal and external stakeholders is critical to the successful delivery of projects, services and activities.
The appointee has delegated autonomy and is accountable for delivery of specified work focused on peer support and peer groups across Queensland that covers:
The appointee is expected to work under limited direction but recognising when advice may be needed on complex or unusual matters. They will work to ensure the timely achievement of deliverables, within agreed budgets and performance levels. The position requires some travel.
The appointee will work within the requirements of relevant legislation including the Queensland
Human Rights Act, and QDN’s Quality System, demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement and contribute to internal and external auditing processes as required under ISO 9001.

Under the supervision and direction of the General Manager. This position has positions as direct reports and works as part of a team where interdependencies and collaboration with colleagues, QDN members and internal and external stakeholders are critical to the successful delivery of projects, services, and activities.
Relevant tertiary qualifications (or demonstrated equivalent experience) or relevant experience in the areas of disability, human services and/or project management experience would be highly desirable.
