About the role
A challenging, rewarding and varied role making a difference in the lives of children on the autism spectrum and their families. You will work with students and families to identify student learning goals, building their capacity to succeed and excel. You will help create a learning environment that tailors to the individual needs of students through evidence informed best practice in autism. You will work closely in a team with other professionals such as school psychologists, speech therapists and occupational therapists to develop and deliver quality learning programs.
Key responsibilities

Build capacity of students to succeed and excel
Create a learning environment tailored to individual student needs
Implement evidence informed best practice in autism
Work collaboratively with school psychologists, speech therapists and occupational therapists
Develop and deliver quality learning programs
About you
Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or other intellectual disability (desirable)
Experience implementing Individual Learning Plans
Knowledge of transitioning students into mainstream settings
Certificate III in Education Support or other relevant tertiary qualification (desirable)
Effective communication skills
First Aid Certificate (desirable)
Current driver's licence may be essential depending on school location/requirements per relevant state legislation
Light Rigid (LR) driver's licence (desirable)
Capacity to travel across all sites in the area
South Australian Working with Children Check required
