Team Lead, Cyber Security

This is an opportunity to lead and mature EQT's dedicated Cyber Security function. As Cyber Security Team Lead you'll be our subject matter expert and the driving force behind our security control environment. Leading a team of analysts and a graduate, while defining how cyber security is designed, operated, and continuously improved across identity, endpoint, cloud, and data protection domains. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who blends deep technical knowledge with a genuine passion for people, purpose, and protecting what matters.
 
What you'll do:

• Lead, coach, and develop the Cyber Security team, setting clear priorities, expectations, and work allocation while promoting a culture of security-by-design and continuous improvement
• Define and own cyber security control intent, standards, and expected outcomes across identity, endpoint, cloud, data protection, and security operations
• Lead security operations including threat monitoring, alert triage, SOC coordination, incident response, and root cause analysis — ensuring incidents are assessed, prioritised, and remediated in line with EQT procedures
• Drive the vulnerability management process from discovery and risk-based prioritisation through to remediation coordination, exception tracking, and executive reporting
• Translate security policy, technology risk, and regulatory expectations into practical, scalable technical control requirements — partnering closely with Infrastructure, Architecture, and Technology Risk Governance
• Ensure audit readiness across all cyber security controls, supporting internal and external audits, penetration testing, due diligence, and regulator-aligned reviews
• - Lead supplier cyber assurance and third-party cyber risk management activities, including cyber due diligence, control assessments, remediation management, ongoing monitoring and supplier engagement.

 
What you'll need to succeed:

• A proven background leading cyber security operations and serving as a technical subject matter expert across identity, endpoint, cloud, and data protection environments
• Strong experience with identity and access management including Entra ID, Privileged Identity Management, Conditional Access, SSO, SAML/OIDC, and privileged access governance
• Significant experience with EDR/XDR security tooling such as Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, Rapid7, or equivalent, with strong capability in security monitoring and incident response
• Solid experience leading vulnerability management including risk-based prioritisation, remediation tracking, and reporting to management and governance stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team, with strong influencing skills and the ability to communicate complex security issues to technical and non-technical audiences alike
• A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or equivalent industry experience; certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SC-100/200/300/400, or equivalent are highly regarded
