Remuneration: Occupational Therapist Level 3: $61.31 - $63.29 per hour + 12% Superannuation + Salary Packaging

Be part of a pioneering initiative to design and deliver the new Time is Precious Program, an innovative end-of-life care service supporting the culturally rich and diverse communities of South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD). This senior occupational therapy role provides a unique opportunity to shape and embed a person-centred service that enhances quality of life, supports patients and families during end-of-life care, and improves care experiences across the district.

As a senior clinician, you will provide advanced clinical leadership, contribute to service development and innovation, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and community partners to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. The role calls for a reflective and creative approach to the complexities of end-of-life care, enabling you to make a meaningful and lasting impact on patients, families, and the broader health service.

Are You the Right Fit?

The ideal candidate for this Level 3 Occupational Therapist position is a skilled, compassionate, and independent clinician with advanced occupational therapy experience and a passion for delivering person-centred end-of-life care within a culturally diverse community. They will demonstrate advanced clinical reasoning, sound judgement, and the ability to manage complex clinical presentations while working autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. They will bring excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills, adopting a holistic approach to support clients and their families through this profoundly important and delicate stage of life. A commitment to innovation, service development, reflective practice, and continuous improvement will enable them to contribute to the growth and success of the Time is Precious Program.

Selection Criteria

To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and substantial experience in the provision of occupational therapy services for end of fife care patients, carers/ families.Demonstrated experience participating in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement processDemonstrated experience in providing clinical supervision, mentoring and professional development to junior staff and/or students, and in planning and delivering education to multidisciplinary teams to build capability and promote best practice.Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
