Videographer & Content Creator

The opportunity

Built By Storm is seeking a creative and driven Creative content creator to join our team in our Melbourne office. Working directly alongside our founder, you will be responsible for leading the visual storytelling and content production across our personal brand and three additional business brands. This is a hands-on creative role for someone who wants to build a distinctive brand universe from the ground up — capturing, producing, and distributing daily content that drives growth across every platform.

Key responsibilities

• Work side-by-side with the founder daily to capture, produce, and distribute content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X for four brands

• Lead end-to-end production on quarterly batch filming days, including pre-production planning, on-set direction, and creative supervision of offshore editing teams

• Develop and execute the visual direction and content storyline across the personal brand and three business brands, ensuring a consistent, premium, editorial aesthetic

• Manage daily social media output across all platforms, including scheduling, captioning, community management, and performance review

• Brief and manage offshore editors, photographers, and contractors to maintain quality and turnaround standards

• Stay current with content, design, and platform trends to continually evolve the brand's creative capability and visual identity

• Capture spontaneous content moments throughout the working day, including meetings, events, travel, and behind-the-scenes activity

• Contribute creative input to broader brand initiatives including the launch of digital products, live events, and the annual Bali retreat

What we're looking for

• 12 months to 3 years of experience in a creative, content production, or social media role, ideally with exposure to personal brand, founder brand, or premium lifestyle work

• Demonstrated ability to shoot, direct, and edit high-quality video and photo content using professional equipment (not phone-only)

• Strong creative eye with a clear point of view on editorial, cinematic, and premium visual aesthetics

• Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to write social captions, hooks, and short-form content that matches an established brand voice

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple brands, content calendars, and deadlines

• Genuine cultural literacy and comfort working on a brand built around queer founder identity and lived experience

• Willingness to work in-person daily and travel for filming days, events, and the bi-annual Bali retreat

• Self-motivated and proactive — comfortable taking initiative and bringing ideas to the table
