Inbound Supervisor / Inventory Controller – 3PL

About the role

This hybrid role is responsible for coordinating inbound activities, supervising a small warehouse team and maintaining accurate inventory and location records. The successful candidate will have strong warehouse and inventory-control experience, excellent attention to detail and the ability to lead from the floor.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily inbound deliveries and containers.

• Supervise a small crew completing container loading and unloading.

• Coordinate a forklift operator responsible for stock movements and container putaways.

• Check incoming deliveries against purchase orders.

• Receive stock accurately in CartonCloud.

• Identify and report damaged, missing or excess stock.

• Ensure every pallet has the correct pallet ID label.

• Ensure stock is put away in the correct warehouse location.

• Maintain accurate stock and location records.

• Complete regular cycle counts and stocktakes.

• Investigate stock variances and complete approved corrections.

• Manage damaged, quarantined and unidentified stock.

• Respond to inbound and inventory-related tickets.

• Keep the inbound and staging areas clean, safe and organised.

• Report delays, stock issues and operational risks to the Operations Manager.

• Assist with internal warehouse and customer audits.

• Ensure all work is completed safely and within required timeframes.

About you

• Previous experience in an inbound, inventory-control or warehouse supervisory role.

• Experience working in a 3PL warehouse environment.

• Strong knowledge of receiving, putaway, cycle counting and stocktakes.

• Experience leading and coordinating a small warehouse team.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to inventory accuracy.

• Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

• Confidence investigating stock discrepancies and process issues.

• Experience using a warehouse management system; CartonCloud experience is highly regarded, but not necessary.

• The ability to work hands-on and support the warehouse team when required.

• A current Australian forklift licence – essential.
