Join the MAPS (Midwifery Antenatal Postnatal Service) team at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital and provide meaningful continuity of care that supports women and families throughout pregnancy and the early postnatal journey.
Build trusted relationships by providing continuity of midwifery care throughout pregnancy and the postnatal period. Deliver comprehensive antenatal care and education that empowers women and supports positive birth experiences. Provide postnatal home visits, offering guidance on recovery, infant feeding and newborn care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality, family-centred care for women and their babies.

We're looking for a passionate and compassionate Registered Midwife who is committed to delivering continuity of care and supporting women and families throughout their maternity journey.
Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality antenatal and postnatal care in a woman-centred environment. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to foster trust and continuity of care. A collaborative and adaptable approach to working within multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best outcomes for women, babies and families.

Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Midwife with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Demonstrated recent experience as a Registered Midwife in the Antenatal Postnatal Service.Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, families, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based midwifery care.
