We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and engaging Swimming

Teachers to join our established Learn to Swim program across our Toorak and Armadale locations.

If you are fully qualified and have some prior teaching experience, we would love to hear from you.

CURRENT SHIFTS AVAILABLE

Wednesday: 3.00pm – 6.00pm

Thursday: 3.00pm – 6.00pm

Saturday: 1.30pm – 6.00pm

Sunday: 9.15am to 1.30pm

***YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE for one after school and one weekend shift.

Our lessons operate during the Victorian school terms, which means school holidays, public holidays and long weekends are OFF. Holiday Intensive Programs are additional and completely optional.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will teach children aged 3–12 years within our Learn to Swim program, developing water confidence, water safety and strong swimming technique.

We pride ourselves on producing swimmers with a high standard of technical excellence, so we are looking for teachers who want to do more than simply supervise a swimming lesson — we want people who enjoy teaching children to swim WELL.

You will be supported by experienced on-deck Supervisors and floating teachers, with mentoring, feedback and ongoing PAID professional development provided.

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU...

- Hold a current AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualification or industry equivalent, such as Swim Australia or Life Saving Victoria. AND

- Hold current CPR AND

- an Employee Working With Children Check.

- We are currently looking for fully qualified teachers with some prior experience. Consideration may be given if you have completed your teacher training and are looking to complete your supervised hours with a view to ongoing employment.

YOU WILL:

- Have excellent English and communication skills.

- Can confidently demonstrate aquatic skills to children of varying abilities.

- Have a fun, positive and outgoing personality and know how to engage children.

- Are punctual, dependable and prepared to make an ongoing commitment throughout the school term. Although this is a casual role you are expected to attend all your shifts across the term, usually 8 or 9 weeks.

- Are coachable and happy to receive feedback and continue developing your teaching skills.

- Are willing to learn and teach according to our curriculum and teaching methods.

- Work well as part of a team and under the guidance of an on-deck Supervisor.

- Take pride in providing excellent customer service to swimmers and their families.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

- Current CPR

- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety, Swim Australia Teacher or recognised equivalent

- Employee Working With Children Check

HIGHLY REGARDED

- First Aid Certificate

- AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia extension qualifications

- Pool Lifeguard Award

- Previous Learn to Swim teaching experience
