About the Role:

St John WA is looking for a Procurement Officer to join our Supply Chain Team on a permanent, full-time basis. Based in Belmont, the role runs from Monday to Friday and reports directly to the Procurement & Contracts Manager.

In this role, you will deliver procurement activities across sourcing, contract administration, supplier engagement and procurement governance. You will independently manage low to medium complexity procurement projects, provide practical commercial support to stakeholders and contribute to value-for-money outcomes through effective procurement practices.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage low to medium complexity procurement activities, including market engagement, quotations, evaluations, negotiations and contract establishment within delegated authority.
• Support category management plans by undertaking spend, market and supplier analysis, conducting inventory range reviews and identifying value-for-money opportunities.
• Source parts, equipment and consumables for inventory by obtaining quotations, assessing pricing and lead times, and recommending suppliers that meet operational and commercial requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and supply agreements, and support tendering, contract implementation and supplier performance management.
• Coordinate contract renewals, amendments and variations, and prepare reporting on spend, low-value purchases and contract performance.
• Provide procurement guidance to stakeholders, maintain accurate systems and contractual records, build effective supplier relationships and support departmental operations in accordance with policies and delegated authorities.

What You’ll Need:

• Demonstrated experience within a supply chain function and a background in a corporate, health, community or commercial environment.
• Knowledge of relevant procurement systems, tools and processes.
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills, with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to guide and support stakeholders.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, data reconciliation, graphs, lookups and workbook creation.
• Experience in data and spend analysis, reporting and document control.
• A minimum of three years’ experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
• A formal qualification in procurement or commercial management, such as MCIPS, or a relevant tertiary qualification in logistics and procurement; alternatively, a willingness to obtain one.
• Experience using Dynamics GP, D365 or a similar enterprise resource planning system.
