About the role
Location: Cradoc, Tasmania
Employment Type: Full Time
Duggans is seeking a fully qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our Mechanical Workshop at Cradoc.
This is a hands-on role responsible for the maintenance and repair of a diverse range of vehicles, heavy machinery, plant and equipment used across our operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on vehicles, plant and equipment.
Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs efficiently.
Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
Assist with breakdown repairs as required.
Maintain equipment to a high standard of safety and reliability.
Complete relevant maintenance records and documentation.
Work safely and effectively as part of the workshop team.
The successful applicant will have:
A recognised qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.
Experience servicing and repairing diesel vehicles, plant and heavy equipment.
Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
A good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A reliable and practical approach to work.
Experience working with heavy rigid trucks would be highly regarded.
