54 reasons deliver the Family & Child Connect (FaCC) service, providing culturally safe, early‑intervention support to children, young people, and families experiencing vulnerability—especially First Nations and CALD communities. FaCC partners with families to build on strengths, strengthen cultural and community connections, and navigate challenges early through practical guidance and supported referrals. Grounded in cultural safety and trauma‑informed, strengths‑based practice, the service plays a critical role in reducing risk, supporting wellbeing, and empowering families to feel heard and respected.

In this full-time, maximum term till December 2026, you’ll work as a part of our 54 reasons Family & Child Connect team in Mount Isa to help us create lasting change for children everywhere.

Your deep expertise in family support and early intervention with First Nations and CALD families will be invaluable. You’re a respectful and culturally responsive practitioner who builds trust quickly, listens deeply, and works alongside families in a strengths-based way — translating empathy and good judgement into practical, meaningful outcomes for children and families. You bring curiosity, accountability, and confidence in navigating complex situations, and you balance compassion with clear professional boundaries.
