The Role
Join Dementia Support Australia's Staying at Home Program and help improve the lives of people living with dementia and their carers. This post-diagnostic program offers education, engagement and support through immersive retreats and online sessions.
As a Dementia Consultant, you'll play a key role in delivering and enhancing the program by conducting client screenings and assessments, facilitating carer sessions, supporting engagement activities and contributing to continuous improvement.
We are looking for someone who combines clinical knowledge with a genuine passion for supporting people living with dementia and those who care for them. Success in this role requires the ability to build rapport, understand individual circumstances, communicate with empathy, and provide practical support that helps clients and carers feel informed, confident and connected.
You will work closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to deliver meaningful outcomes, adapting to the diverse needs of clients while maintaining a strong focus on person-centred care. You'll also contribute to building confidence and capability among carers and stakeholders, helping families navigate challenges and supporting positive experiences throughout their dementia journey.
This role involves interstate travel for program delivery and stakeholder engagement and requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, manages competing priorities effectively and remains focused on delivering exceptional client outcomes.
This role is offered as a Fixed Term Contract until June 2028 and can be based at either of our Hobart, TAS or Chermside, QLD offices.
