At GenesisCare, we believe every patient deserves exceptional care and support throughout their cancer treatment journey. We're looking for a compassionate and professional Patient Services Officer (Medical Receptionist) to join our team at our Henley Beach Centre in Adelaide.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment while providing high quality administrative and reception services. You'll work closely with our clinical teams to help ensure a seamless experience for our patients and their families.

As a casual team member, you'll provide flexible support to the centre as required, assisting with reception and administrative functions to support the delivery of patient care.

More specifically, you will:

• Welcome patients, carers, and visitors with professionalism, empathy, and warmth.
• Manage patient appointments and clinic schedules.
• Respond to patient enquiries in person, over the phone, and via email.
• Receive and process referrals accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and maintain patient records and administrative documentation.
• Assist with billing activities, Medicare processing, fee estimates, and private health fund administration.
• Work closely with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to support daily operations.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in line with healthcare standards.
•  Provide flexible administrative support to meet operational requirements.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

• Previous experience in administration, reception, healthcare, or customer service roles.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping people.
• A caring, empathetic, and professional approach when interacting with patients and their families.
• Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
• Confidence using computer systems and navigating multiple software platforms.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Previous experience in a healthcare or medical reception environment will be highly regarded but is not essential.
