The Opportunity

Ready to step into a leadership role where no two days are the same? We’re looking for a hands-on Operations Supervisor to run day-to-day operations at a busy waste transfer station based in West Melbourne. This role is afternoon shift with regular hours being Mon-Friday 1pm - 9pm

This is your opportunity to join an essential services industry, lead from the front, and play a key role in improving recycling, sustainability, and operational performance.

You will take ownership of daily site operations, ensuring everything runs safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Additionally, you will:

• Lead and supervise operators. plant drivers and site staff
• Oversee waste receival and processing
• Drive a strong safety culture through toolbox talks and visible leadership
• Ensure compliance with EPA, safety and site licence requirements
• Troubleshoot issues and keep operations moving

About You
We are looking for a practical, people focused leader who thrives in fast paced environments.
You will have:

•   Experience supervising teams in waste, recycling, logistics, transport, or heavy industry
•   Strong leadership skills – you know how to motivate and hold teams accountable
•   Solid understanding of safety and environmental compliance
•   Ability to think on your feet and solve operational challenges
•   Comfortable working around mobile plant and busy industrial sites
•   Good communication and organisational skills
•   Current Mobile plant tickets (loader/excavator) desirable not essential
•   Microsoft suite experience essential
