About the Role

We’re looking for multiple Full-Time Chefs de Partie to join the team at The Boathouse Balmoral.

Led by Head Chef Ty Bellingham, Balmoral has opened an exciting new chapter, bringing a fresh vision of a relaxed venue spirit with bold, vibrant Southeast Asian flavours and a deep respect for quality produce.

As a Chef de Partie, you’ll play an important role in bringing our vision to life while developing your skills alongside an experienced and passionate kitchen team.

Depending on your section and the day, your responsibilities will include:

• Taking ownership of the day-to-day operations of your allocated kitchen section.

• Preparing and executing high-quality dishes to the required standards.

• Supporting effective stock management, including ordering, receipting, storage and stock rotation.

• Maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and WH&S across your section.

• Supporting the training, development and mentoring of junior chefs.

• Contributing to the ongoing development of the kitchen team, including product knowledge, technology, systems and job-related skills.

• Working collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

About You

To be the perfect addition to The Boathouse Group, you will have at least 2 years of prior experience as a skilled chef in a high-paced, high-volume environment where you’ve demonstrated your resilience and organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure. You’ll also be:

• Motivating and engaging;

• Able to educate others on new techniques in all sections and maintain high standards of quality and presentation;

• Have a confident and can-do attitude;

• Be friendly, approachable and genuine;

• Be a team player with a collaborative working style.

All Chefs ideally should have qualification in professional cookery (Certificate III) or similar from a recognised training institute or international equivalent.
