Role Description The Vocational Trainer & Assessor – Health role is a part-time, on-site position based in Southport, QLD. The role involves delivering engaging vocational education and training sessions in health-related qualifications, using a range of teaching methods and resources to support different learning styles. Day-to-day tasks include planning and facilitating classes, workshops, and skills-based activities; assessing learner competency through practical and theory-based assessments; and providing constructive feedback to support learner progress. The Trainer & Assessor maintains accurate training and assessment records, ensures compliance with regulatory and RTO requirements, and contributes to continuous improvement of learning materials and assessment tools. The role also includes mentoring learners, collaborating with colleagues to enhance program quality, and participating in professional development to stay current with industry and education standards.
Qualifications
Demonstrated capability in vocational education and training, including experience with Vocational Education frameworks and Training and Assessment practices.Strong background in teaching and education, with proven skills in Teaching, Training, and designing learner-centered activities.Experience in mentoring and supporting learners, including Mentoring and coaching skills that foster learner confidence and success.Relevant health-related qualification and current industry experience in the health sector.Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent required by vocational education standards).Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills, with the ability to engage diverse learner cohorts.Proficiency in using digital tools and learning management systems to deliver and track training and assessment.Commitment to compliance with RTO standards, continuous improvement, and professional development.
