Boilermaker/Welder

JDN MONOCRANE is a turn key solutions provider that designs, manufactures, installs and services the full range of standard and specialised, customer specific lifting solutions.

We are currently seeking an experienced Boilermaker/Welder to start immediately.

Key Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Fabrication and welding of Overhead Gantry Crane box girders.

Fabrication and welding of structural steel - columns and beams.

Fabrication and welding of complex frames and associated lifting equipment.

Key Attributes:

• You will be highly motivated and have pride in your work

• Qualified Boilermaker or equivalent (Cert 3 MechEng)

• Have superior MIG (GMAW) and general welding skills - you will be required to demonstrate your ability as part of the interview process

• Competent with Fillet and Butt welding of plates from 5mm to 45mm

• Be able to read 2D drawings

• Experience with and knowledge of formal QA process and procedure, including identification of defective or outside of tolerance mechanical components

• Must be available for day shift

• Must have full time availability

• Are reliable

• Pay attention to detail, and

• Can work with minimal supervision, as well as

• Be flexible with regard to overtime, available between 0615 and 1745

While not essential to the role, preferred candidates will hold the following:

• Forklift License

• EWP/Scissor Lift

• Rigging and Dogging

• Working at heights
