Mental Health Worker

What your day could look like

As a Mental Health Worker, you'll help children, young people and families navigate challenges, build resilience and access the support they need. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you'll contribute to positive mental health outcomes while strengthening connections across health, community and support services.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

• Delivering evidence-informed assessment and therapeutic interventions that improve wellbeing and support recovery.
• Building trusted relationships with young people, families, carers and partner services to achieve coordinated care outcomes.
• Supporting service improvement, quality initiatives and clinical excellence that enhance care experiences.
• Sharing knowledge, contributing to learning and helping strengthen capability across the team.

You're someone who combines clinical capability with genuine compassion. You bring integrity to decision-making, respect the dignity of every individual, and have the courage to work alongside young people and families through complex situations. You'll take pride in helping children and adolescents achieve better outcomes while contributing ideas that support innovation and continuous improvement. You're here to create positive change, build strong connections and make every interaction count.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

• Relevant professional qualification and current registration, membership or certification for your discipline.
• Experience delivering contemporary clinical assessment and therapeutic support in mental health or related settings.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary environments.
• A current driver's licence and commitment to providing flexible, community-focused services.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have postgraduate mental health qualifications and/or experience supporting children and young people in community or regional settings.
