As the Senior Clinical Governance Lead (Mental Health), you will provide strategic leadership to strengthen clinical governance, quality, and consistency across a group of Anglicare WA’s mental health services. Working closely with leaders, clinicians and service teams, you will provide clinical leadership to support services are to be safe, evidence-based, culturally responsive, and aligned with relevant standards, accreditation requirements and best practice models.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and refine clinical governance frameworks, ensuring high-quality, safe and compliant mental health service delivery across programs.
• Working closely with the leadership team to drive continuous improvement through audits, practice reviews, quality assurance activities and service evaluation.
• Develop and strengthen clinical supervision frameworks that enhance accountability, clinical decision-making and professional practice.
• Build and support teams to ensure robust risk identification, risk escalation, case management and decision-making processes.
• Build workforce capability through coaching, mentoring, training and the promotion of reflective, evidence-based practice.
• Partner with operational leaders to ensure service delivery aligns with commissioned models, accreditation standards and legislative requirements.
• Use clinical data, outcomes and feedback to identify trends, inform service improvements and enhance client and organisational outcomes

This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday), permanent contract opportunity based in East Perth. Travel is required on a regular basis to the Pilbara region. 

About you

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience: 

• Be a Registered Psychologist, Clinical or Counselling Psychologist registered with APHRA, or an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers. 
• Demonstrated experience developing clinical governance, quality assurance, risk management systems, audits and continuous improvement within mental health services.
• Strong knowledge of mental health practice standards, including NSQMHCMO, NSQHS, AHPRA requirements, and mandatory reporting obligations.
• Proven experience developing and overseeing clinical programs partnering with services staff and other staff for impactful outcomes.
• Experience building workforce capability through coaching, mentoring, reflective practice and the promotion of evidence-based, trauma-informed and recovery-oriented approaches.
• A demonstrated commitment to culturally safe practice, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and support service delivery across regional and diverse communities.

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year; a WA Driver's Licence and a WA Working with Children Check.

• Starting salary $138,185 per annum plus 12% superannuation
• Enjoy generous tax-free salary packaging benefits where you can package up to $15,900 per annum and not pay tax on that amount.
• Additional 3 days (pro-rata) leave per year and ability to purchase additional leave
