About Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced ICT Project Officer to support ICT operations, service delivery, and project activities within a Federal Government environment. The successful consultant will provide frontline ICT support, manage service requests and incidents, support ICT projects and technology rollouts, administer systems and devices, and contribute to the delivery of reliable and customer-focused ICT services.

This is an excellent opportunity to work across a broad range of ICT support and project activities within a collaborative government environment while contributing to the successful delivery of business-critical technology services and initiatives

Key Requirements

• Australian Citizenship (mandatory).
• Current Baseline Security Clearance (mandatory at time of application).
• Experience providing ICT support services within APS or Commonwealth Government environments.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Canberra, ACT.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Provide ICT support for hardware, software, network, account and device-related issues.
• Triage, resolve and escalate service requests and incidents in accordance with service levels.
• Administer user accounts, systems, devices, software and ICT asset records.
• Support ICT projects, upgrades, testing, rollouts and implementation activities.
• Prepare and maintain ICT procedures, user guides and knowledge articles.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, vendors and service providers to support ICT service delivery.
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to service and process improvements.
• Support cyber security controls, patching, access management and incident reporting activities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Demonstrated experience providing ICT support services within Microsoft on-premises and cloud environments, including:

• Providing responsive ICT support and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Supporting users and maintaining ICT systems.
• Analysing issues, identifying risks, and implementing practical solutions.
• Supporting operational ICT activities and project delivery.
• Maintaining high levels of customer service and user support.
• Working within ICT security and governance frameworks.

Additional Skills

• Experience with Active Directory (on-premises).
• Experience with Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID.
• Understanding of ITIL principles and service management practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer service capabilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a busy environment.
