Gardener | Marnong Estate

Set among rolling hills and vineyards, Marnong Estate is a premier destination offering dining, accommodation, weddings and events. We’re seeking a dedicated Gardener to join the team to help maintain our stunning grounds and gardens to the highest standard.

About the Role:
As part of our Grounds team, you’ll be responsible for the upkeep and presentation of the estate’s lawns, gardens and outdoor areas while supporting our Senior Gardener. This hands-on role suits someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys the outdoors, and has a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain lawns, garden beds, hedges and trees across the property

• Operate mowers, blowers, trimmers and other garden machinery safely

• Assist with irrigation systems, mulching and planting programs

• Monitor plant health, weed control and pest management

• Support event and venue setup as required

• Ensure all outdoor areas are kept clean, safe and visually appealing

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in groundskeeping, horticulture or garden maintenance

• Ability to take direction and willingness for continual improvement

• Certificate III in Horticulture preferred but not essential

• Sound knowledge of plants, turf and seasonal care

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable, punctual and physically fit for outdoor work

• Flexibility to work weekdays and occasional weekends

• Approachable and friendly personality to assist with on-ground queries from guests and general public

• A current driver’s licence (manual would be advantageous)

• Full Australian Working Rights a must
