About the role
Orange Aboriginal Medical Service (OAMS), in partnership with Griffith Aboriginal Medical Service (GAMS), is seeking a passionate and community-focused Tackling Indigenous Smoking Officer to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, families and communities in improving health outcomes and reducing the harms associated with smoking and vaping.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander who is passionate about health promotion, community engagement and empowering communities to make healthy lifestyle choices.
About the Role
As the Tackling Indigenous Smoking Officer, you will work across the OAMS and GAMS service footprint, delivering culturally safe education, health promotion and community engagement activities that support smoking and vaping prevention and cessation.
You will build strong relationships with community members, schools, health services, partner agencies and community leaders to develop local solutions that improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
